New WinBreak.com features, new forums!

In an attempt to make your life easier, entice you to visit this site, and in an all around attempt to satisfy the masses, I have made several changes to the site over the last week, though many of them may not be noticable just yet.

First: the site is now mobile-web friendly! As my recent exploits with my own mobile phone grow, so does my conciousness of mobile-device users. You don’t have to go to a special “NuAngel.net/xyz” or “mobi.WinBreak.com” or anything fancy – just load up WinBreak.com on your phone, PDA, or even PlayStation Portable, and keep up on the latest information.

Next: I have expanded your user profiles to allow a little more customization. You should now find it easier to describe yourself, promote your interests, and even show off a little bit!

Finally: NEW forums! The last ones were never very busy, but they were very buggy. So I found it was a good idea to try and simplify a few things. While it still needs some work, it’s far less buggy and is driven off of the same database as the main website. If you’re registered and can leave comments on the blog posts, you’re registered for the forums! So why not just register, login, and visit the forums!

Download Xbox 360 related Sounds!

Just because I have been wanting these in an easy to access place, I thought I would post this on my own site! Thanks to Major Nelson’s various blog posts and the Mobile compatible joy that is Xbox.mobi, there are a few ring tones and sound effects you can completely customize your cell phone with. Or maybe just your Windows sound scheme. Why not have the Achievement Unlock sound play every time you boot up?

Because of the difficulty that can be had tracking some of these files down as the internet changes, I thought I would bring these glorious sounds all to one place. Customize your devices to your hearts content with several well known Xbox 360 related sounds (in as many already-available formats as I could find).

Sounds from the Xbox 360:

Useful Xbox tricks for Mobile Users

In a recent twitter-quest, I asked everyone if there was anything like an Xbox Live program for my recently purchased Windows Mobile phone. I gained exactly zero responses. Little did I know that there was a little pot of Gold waiting to be discovered.

The other day I posted about some Halo 3 and Fable 2 wallappers and ringtones. Well, what if I told you there were more? Not only more, but for other games? Games like Gears of War 2, Too Human, and even Madden 09? What if I told you there were mobile games, exclusive to your cell phones? Ways to check and respond to your Xbox Live messages, all from the palm of your hand?

Well, there is. Bookmark the following, and you will be set!

Xbox.mobi – a completely mobile designed site, streamlined for phone browsers, offering all kinds of exclusive content from wall papers to sound effects.
Xbox.com/en-US/wap/ – Xbox.com (America)’s WAP site, which offers you access to much of Xbox.com’s contents, including your friends list and more.
Xbox Live Message center (again USA only link provided, though it may work for others). This link is not truly designed for mobile phones, however it takes you straight to your Xbox Live Inbox, and as long as your browser is powerful enough, you can read and compose new messages!

While I don’t plan on changing the content of the site to a new mobile phone fansite, I just wanted to offer a few helpful links to everyone. I also intend to check out the mobile phone browser SkyFire – I will let everyone know how useful it turns out being (worth it or not!?). Don’t forget to do your part to help spread the word about Xbox.mobi – here’s hoping it keeps growing, as Microsoft keeps their promise of LIVE EVERYWHERE!
