Better Know a Gamer: #35: Akbip

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

We haven’t done an issue of BKAG in a LONG time, and it is obvious the questions are (and were intended to be, in 2008) very Xbox centric… but perhaps it is time to update them? Well, Akbip was a good sport and made the necessary modifcations to be out 35th installment of Better Know a Gamer! If you’re interested, you can Nominate a Gamer, or even yourself, all you need is an email address! So read on and learn about Akbip!

NuAngel: What’s your Gamertag, and what’s the story behind it?
— Akbip (Steam). There is a hidden meaning that has never been told about it, but I think I will keep it that way :).

Nu: Where are you from, how old are you, and what do you do (school, job, family, hobbies)?
— Wichita, KS. I am 25. I own my own computer business, have a wife and son, enjoy gaming and working on machines.

Nu: How long have you been gaming in general?
— About 20 years.

Nu: How long have you been a 360 owner?
— I used to own a 360 but that has been a long time ago. I only game on PC now as I favor it highly over consoles now. Sorry console gamers. 🙁

Nu: What was one of your favorite Xbox / Xbox Live moments?
— I will fill this one in with “What was one of my favorite Steam Live moments”. Probably one of my favorite moments was playing Team Fortress 2 on Highlander Iron Championship match (pro tf2) and winning as the spy class.

Nu: Which Xbox 360 Achievement are you most proud of?
— My favorite Steam achievement probably has to be getting 1000 saps as spy. Not that it was hard, but it was the last one I got as I don’t do achievement idle servers.

Nu: Are you currently working toward any achievements?
— Nah, not really. I more enjoy the pro gaming scenes (TF2/LoL).

Nu: What game(s) are you playing the most now?
— I mostly play TF2, LoL, and some Skyrim.

Nu: What’s playing now (what music do you listen to when away from your Xbox or when listening to music ON your Xbox)?
— I enjoy classical music myself.

Nu: Do you change your avatar’s outfit frequently, or did you ‘set it and forget it’?
— Very rarely, if ever. I am ‘set it and forget it’.

Nu: Do you have a favorite site for Xbox or gaming news?
— I follow Game Informer for all gaming news pretty heavily.

Nu: What upcoming game are you looking most forward to?
— Interesting question. Grand Theft Auto V looks enticing.

Nu: What was your Game of the Year, favorite, or most played game last year?
— Team Fortress 2, hands down.

Nu: Do you have an all time favorite game, for any console or the PC?
— Hmm another interesting question. I was/am pretty big into RPGs. I think my favorite of all time was Chrono Cross.

Nu: Do you have any gaming buddies you frequently play with / want to make almost as famous as you (shoutouts)?
— My TF2 team I play frequently with, but I will spare them the media of a shout out haha.

Nu: Any parting words for the millions… okay… hundreds… alright, fine, DOZENS of readers?
— If you wanna play, hit me up with a friend request on Steam. I also stream my games on Twitch. &
