Love Halo 3? Love Fable 2? Show it!

Just came across this in an email from Microsoft. Official Halo 3 and Fable 2 ringtones for your Windows Mobile Phone! Or… really, any phone that supports WMA ring tones. They can be previewed and downloaded. That is what I was linked to, but why not also provide you Windows Mobile users (or, again, any phone that supports .JPG files!!) with some new Fable 2 and Halo 3 background images for use on your cell phone.

That’s all for now, I’m sure there will be more news to come this week, I’m just having a great time at my new job, and even though I’m extremely busy, I’m loving every minute of it all. Look forward to hearing from me throughout the week! A few quick polls may also appear in the near future, as I determine what else to bring to WinBreak in 2009!

Our Experiment: GamersTable.com

Pull up a chair, ladies and gents!! Welcome to the GamersTable! A website powered almost exclusively by Meebo and intended to give you the easiest resources for connecting with and talking to people from all around the world about one of the things you love the most: video games!

It takes a lot for a site like that to really get going, but that’s why we’re calling it an experiment. It might work, it might flop. I’m only out a few dollars if it doesn’t work out. And if it does, you can bet the place will always be lively!

Due to the fact that it is Meebo powered, uptimes and speeds cannot be guaranteed. But once you’re there, it is fairly self explanatory. Take a look, and keep stopping back. Even if you’re the first and only one in there, you can leave a message for future visitors, and always continue the conversation! So join us all, at the GamersTable!

By the bye: I'm an Xbox Ambassador

It’s been a few months now, but I haven’t made a big deal of this. I’ve just been continuing to do my thing on other forums, sites, and keeping busy enough in the real world. But I figured I might as well let everyone that I was nominated, by friend of the site Thumpthis, and then was actually appointed an official Xbox Ambassador. 18 countries, 30 languages, and now, NuAngel! 😉

For anyone who doesn’t know what the Xbox Ambassador program is, it’s really simple. Best explained on Xbox.com, we’re “community members who have been around the block and are willing to show the new guys around.” When I got my 360 two years (plus a few days) ago, I dove in head first – and really got in to the whole community aspect of the Xbox 360 and Xbox Live. A year after owning my console, I began this website. Almost another year later, it continues to grow, and I continue to welcome all new comers.

Better Know a Gamer: Issue #19: Poetricks

This week’s guest goes by a few names you may have heard. Tapio, with the gamertag Poetricks, is the latest addition to Better Know a Gamer. So sit back and get to know someone!

Nu: What’s your Gamertag, and what’s the story behind it?
Poetricks.
I kind of used Poetricks as my poetry name, and the style i do the poetry when I write poetry I add my own twist to it, and so im “trickin with poetry”… Poetricks. I guess that should make sense!

Nu: I can dig that – I went to school and majored in poetry (well, “English” with a concentration in “Creative Writing” – but I took all poetry classes). Where are you from?
Finland, the land of lakes and forests.

Nu: Your weather should be pretty similar to mine then… cold… and getting colder. How old are you, and what do you do (school, job, family, hobbies)?

Well, 2008 is almost over and i think i have everything i need for this year but if you ask 2009 i would say Halo wars.

Nu: Do you have an all time favorite game, for any console or the PC?
Super Mario World on SNES and Halo:Combat Evolved on Xbox

Nu: I agree, Yoshi was the most brilliant game mechanic ever added to a franchise. 😉 Do you have any gaming buddies you frequently play with / want to make almost as famous as you?

There are no polar bears in Finland!

Nu: I’m sure there’s like a Zoo or something… right? Well, that doesn’t matter. I still want to thank Poetricks for taking the time to participate in Better Know a Gamer.
