OpFor Sound patch has been Released!!

The sound patch is great, just extract the EXE from the ZIP, and run it... simple. It'll ask you where it's installed, and JoFSh has included some credits, and some help info in the beginning. The README was built by me, as I needed somthing to pack in with the exe, since I still can't upload exe files here. But, enough of the time wasting, get the OpForSound Patch now!

--OLDER--

Well, by now I hope you've seen what John can do, with a few simple extras thrown into the startup of Half-Life. I'm sure a few of you ran into the "Opposing Force" sound problem John ended up with. Well, in the latest release (HLCfgs2B) of John's AUTOEXEC.cfg files - not only did he keep his awesome image quality, but he (the guy doesn't stop amazing me) added some interesting effects into the sound in the game. You didn't know how fun it got, until you tryed these. Then you crapped your pants 'cause, "you've never heard that before!" :) If you're still having some weird problems with the sound in OpFor - be sure to check back, the sound patch is on it's way.

So - please enjoy, the latest revision of the Half-Life Configs.

Now then, I suppose you've got questions... well here's a little FAQ for the questions floating about(what there is anyway).

Q.

What do I do if it all goes wrong?

A.

Simple. Delete the autoexec.cfg file an all will be well when you re-enter HL.

Q.

Okay I have an AMD and performance is not up to scratch with the cfg what is wrong?

A.

These autoexec.cfg files have been Optimised for Intel(r) Processors BUT SHOULD WORK ON AMD'S - IF THEY DON'T REMOVE THE r_mmx "1" line from the autoexec.cfg.

Q.

32 Bit mode doesn't look any different when I copy the autoexec.cfg file into my 'valve' direcotry, why not?

A.

Go to your shortcut, either on the 'start menu' on the desktop. Behind "hl.exe" type (EXACTLY):

-32bpp

So, make sure there's a space behind HL.exe and then the -32bpp (32Bits per pixel).
